Today was another hectic day getting the fam ready for their whirwind trip. Not much time to just listen to music straight through, it was very broken up.

Smiths-meat is Murder
U2-No Line on the Horizon
Sex Pistols-Never Mind the Bullocks
Bob Mould-Workbook
White Stripes-Elephant
Them Crooked Vultures
The Smiths-Meat is Murder
"Katniss", our feral cat who lives with her new 4 kittens in our yard. She seems to have adopted us, and I guess we have adopted her. Trying to socialize her kittens to us humans.
yseterday (Saturday) was busy with things around the house. Had the 5 disc changer on most of today with...

Pearl Jam-Ten
Pearl Jam-Versus
U2-Boy
Neil Young-Harvest
Clash-From Here to Eternity (Live)

Had some alone time so I played about 90 minutes of guitar to a blues mix of random iPod stuff.

Good Day.

Eric Clapton-Cigarettes and Coffee

Drank a hard cider and some white wine. Played Pearl Jam-Ten on the guitar and went to bed.
Didn't get to blog yesterday; ended up watching the US Track n Field 10ks last night...also my SRAM friend Chad is here from Sacramento.

Yesterday I had off since all the Nike Project OR runners were either racing in Europe or US Champs. So...I listened to alot...

Gettin' ready

Started my mental list/stack of vinyl and CDs I'll start playing when the family is gone. I got a book from the library, 1001 Albums you must hear before you die, and it's been fun to pull stuff outta my collection so I can listen to it again. As with "lists" I always have some grumbly disagreements with things. Overall it's a good read...so, I make my stack of rock to crank when I am alone in the house.

Today was my usual day.

am-NPR/news
Jack White-Blunderbuss
Tom Petty-Highwayman

pm-
Clapton/Beck/Page-Guitar Boogie
Delaney and Bonnie-On tour w/ Eric Clapton and George Harrison
Johnny Winters-Nothin' but the Blues

Tuesday, June 24, 2014

Today was an easy morning. Rory played 'minecraft' on his iPod, and Gretchan slept in until 7am. So....

am listening-
NPR

pm listening-
Neil Young-After the Gold Rush
Wilco Johnson/Roger Daltrey-Going Back Home
Elmore James-Street Talkin'
Van Halen-A Different Kind of Truth
Iron Maiden-Killers

Here I am..."practicing" for my summer camp.

Monday, June 23, 2014

Had to work today, so a short list of listening...and bear in mind the fam is still here...

AC/DC-Highway to Hell
the Clash-self-titled first

once I came back from work, it was purely NPR for news. Then I have a guitar lesson this evening, so likely home to practice after.

not time yet

OK, so the family is still here. But, music for today was:
Fitz and the Tanturms-More Than Just a Dream
Aerosmith-Aeorsmith
Chester and Lester-Chet Atkins/Les Paul
George Michael-Faith
Faith No More-Epic
Credence Clearwater Revival-Green River

Some rocking, some easy listening.

Welcome rockers

So my wife and 10-year old son are doing a 6 to 8 week roadtrip around the country this summer. That means it's gonna be alot like rock and roll summer fantasy camp for me as a bachelor...ok...probably not "fantasy camp"...BUT, I have noone to tell me to turn it down (only an elderly deaf pug) and what we should be listening to.

So...stay tuned to my blog for my summer posts on what I have on the turntable or CD platter and a timed total of how much I played guitar and whatever other adventures pop up...
